We have an order that is paid. Buyer asked us to hold it to ship with an auction he just won 2 days ago...but hasn't paid for yet.
Is there a way to extend shipping time on first paid order so we don't look like we are shipping later than our 1-3 day time?
So far he hasn't responded to our invoice note or message....

Thanks for your help!
Guess I'll send a reminder and wait till Monday or Tuesday to see if he pays before cancelling the auction sale.

Hope you see this... as I could not disagree more with the advice you accepted as a solution.
Technically you are not suppose to extend the shipping time because then you will miss your stated handling time and that can give you a ding on your account.
Now that said, this topic has come up before on these threads and the Blues have been clear. Providing the best customer service is what eBay is all about. Therefore, if a customer requests an extension of time to ship an item a seller should honor that request. Just make certain that any correspondence about this is through eBay emails.
A ding received for 'late shipping' is a minor one and not going to have a great effect on your account. Satisfying a customer and perhaps building a loyal buyer is more important than a minor infraction. I would honor what the buyer wants.
Once the transaction is complete, one can call CS, point to the emails and CS can remove the ding for late shipping on your account.
Sorry to see others be so 'technical' and buyer unfriendly. but now you have 'the rest of the story!'

Sounds good! Thanks.
In all the years on Ebay, we've never been late to ship.
