Any other Sellers had issue with a return never turning up and the buyer still being refunded?
Order went straight to resolution centre as damaged, we accepted return. Paid via PayPal for return postage.
Ebay state they will contact buyer to provide return tracking - never provided.
This was a return from the US to UK. Within 3 weeks of the case being opened refunded provided.
First time we ever asked for support and instead got an autoreply from eBAY that no appeal was possible
and the original decision was correct.
This was clearly some sort of scam. By both parties.

Did you call eBay after you sent the funds to the buyer and tell them you did? Did you send them enough money for a service that includes tracking? If the buyer got even so much as a scan on the returned item, eBay will still refund the buyer in the event it gets lost - as long as they can show they shipped it.
I'd call eBay ask why all this happened and see what they say. If you sent the return shipping funds to the buyer as Goods & Services (not friends and family), you can at least open a dispute in Paypal and get that money back.
