Hello,
I am in a mess here. I put in the wrong tracking number for another package which was delivered to Miami and the buyer In Fernandina Beach FL said they didn't get the package. Ok I realize the mistake I write to the buyer and upload the correct tracking number however it still shows the old incorrect one and this corrected one which also shows delivered to the buyers zip code. So two tracking numbers. Can't delete the wrong one.
I figure it is ok no problem but the buyer still insists he never got it even though package with the correct tracking shows delivered to his zip. Buyer opens a case says not received keeps referring to the first wrong tracking number. Both tracking numbers are in the info. I can't delete the wrong one and when I respond to the case with the right tracking it keeps reverting to the original mistyped number. I am destined to be screwed here. Please someone help!!! Thank you.

I literally cannot delete the erroneous tracking number no matter what I do. The worst part is even when I type the new tracking number within the case it reverts to the wrong original one as if that was what I typed. This is one of the most frustrating things I have encountered here and there have been many. I even cut and pasted the correct tracking from the usps website in the body of the my response on the case showing the number and that it was delivered but nothing will delete the first erroneous tracking number which will cost me my item and the money.

Go to order details, click "show additional options" and click "add tracking". From there you should be able to update it.

Trust me I tried that. It will not update. I have two tracking numbers there and the first one will not delete no matter what. Tried everything possible. Won't do it and even in the case i type the right one in and it continues to reference the wrong first one. Thanks for trying this is a tech problem I will lose the case today based on this. Is there a an ebay employee that can be called in to try and help me with this here or am I out of luck? Thank you.

That is what is so frustrating. manually enter the correct tracking number in the case where it says add tracking number. So I did that thinking ok at least that may help me here and after I hit submit in the case it acts as if I typed in the same wrong tracking number that was submitted originally. I could not believe that!!! I have never encountered anything as unfathomable as this. No matter what that first wrong tracking number has taken on some type of god status and will not go away!!!!
