Partial Refund

Yes, with a vanilla partial refund that you would process on line, but, as I did not too long ago, was call ebay customer support and explain the situation.  Ebay customer support will always tell you to try to work problems out with the buyer.  So I worked things out, and questioned why I wasn't given a partial fee refund when I did what they want me to do - WORK THINGS OUT.  The ebay phone support person agreed and processed a pro-rated final value fee refund to me.  They even had me stay on the line until I saw the fee credit in my account transactions.  Paypal refunds a portion of the fee with any partial refund, there's no reason why ebay shouldn't, but you have to ask.

Call them, that's what they're there for.  You pay enough in fees, especially with them taking a final value fee on shipping charges.
