Hi. I've been selling for a few years now and have been having the buyer pay for shipping usually 1st Class or Priority.
Right now, about 98% of my listings are Retail Ground. I just started printing my labels and offering free shipping and I see that Parcel Select is cheaper. Can I change all my Retail Grounds to Parcel Select with different sizes of boxes and weight?
Also, I tried researching myself. Do I need to click irregular package to get Parcel Select?
I'm old school and technology intimidates me. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Parcel Select and Retail Ground used to both be known as Parcel Post. They are basically the same service, but with different names for the retail and online versions.
You do not need to check off irregular" to access shipping labels for Parcel Select. However, eBay has decided to phase out access to Parcel Select Ground labels, even though USPS has made no changes in their services or policies, and it's offered by all other online postage sellers including PayPal (at www.PayPal.com/shipnow ), endicia, stamps.com, etc. You can even get it at usps.com's Click N Ship!
The USPS online price for Priority Mail is sometimes not much more than Parcel Select Ground, especially for lighter weights and closer Zones. If you're a TRS you get a 3% discount when purchasing Priority labels through eBay.

Since parcel select went down this last time they changed rate, parcel select is considerably cheaper then priority. Example: 4 lb. package to zone 8. 12x12x8 box, priority is $20.77 parcel select is $13.17.
I have a double griddle that ships at 11 lb. priority to zone 8 is $38.93, parcel select is only $19.27.
