Painful Lesson Learned

All year, I've been using a mix of media mail, 1st class, and priority mail - no real issues, shipping around eight items per day.  Starting Dec 6, everything changed.  I have a large number of shipments that aren't moving - not at all.  I'm estimating that, if none of these stuck shipments are delivered, I'm out around $2500.

I'm kicking myself - I should have sent everything priority mail or insured every package.  I've been self-insuring, as issues have been such an extreme rarity.  I'm just glad that it isn't worse than it is - most of my items have been delivered quickly, or are close to being delivered.

Next December, I'm taking out any listings that can't be delivered priority mail - it is just too much of a risk.  My heart goes out to anyone that makes a living from eBay and has the same issue!  I'm what I consider a large hobby seller - nice side income, but I can live well without eBay.  I can't imagine the stress if I had my livelihood hinging on successful delivery of eBay sales.

Priority packages are often the problem right now so you might want to rethink that.  All will be delivered. Late more than likely for awhile. It's part of selling at Christmas with covid and political problems.
