Packing slip

I'd "almost" swear that at one time there was an option to have the packing slip print out at the same time as the label, using up the bottom of the paper.

Only "almost" because my memory can't be completely trusted.

It now only shows up as a separate print.

Am I missing how to do both at the same time...on the same page... or just isn't it possible?

your memory  is right old way was with packing slip choose or address label choice.

New and improved way no choice to our knowledge LOL

I don't recall that option of printing them simultaneously, but obviously others do. My single-sheet approach is to print the packing slip first, slice it off the end of the sheet, finish the packing, weighing, etc., and then put the remainder of the sheet back in the printer when I'm ready to print the label. 

I have not seen any printer care about getting short-sheeted like that, especially since the label is done printing by the time it's maybe 5"-6" down from the top end, so the printer ejects the rest of the sheet anyway. Even if the printer is continuing on to print the receipt as well (if you haven't cancelled the receipt option), it will stop as soon as the bottom edge of the paper is detected. No worries.

Yeah, it used to be the address label would print out at the bottom of the packing slip... all in one! Ebay "improved" on this last year. I can print out all the packing slips at once, then I turn them over and have to print the address label one at a time on the bottom of the packing slip. Oh what fun

Yeah, that's what I've been doing it. I can't even begin to imagine why the option was removed.

Uhmm - well wouldn't the shipping label be printed on a peel and stick label to apply to the package without tape?

So why would you want the packing slip to be printed on the other half of a peel and stick label? Wouldn't you print it on plain ordinary paper?

I always printed them separately.

OPTION.....Peel and Stick users wouldn't need to use it.

But even they are wasting the bottom half unless sending the remaining half sheets back through the   printer

Well, no. The sticker pages have a cut across the middle. 2 labels per page. Print one label then turn the paper upside down and print another label. There is no waste.

And considering the efficiency of peel and stick why wouldn't you use them instead of plain paper that you would then have to physically cut to separate the label (which you then have to tape ON the box)from the packing slip(which goes IN the box)?

For the quantity you're packing, makes sense for you ( I actually used to use it but even then I got several boxes of it for free, somehow)

Not very often I need to print more than one label at a time.

For me, the price isn't worth it...takes 2 seconds to flip it and print the packing sheet another 2 to cut the label off  and 3 seconds to spread a bit of glue on the label,  

AND, then I have use of the rest of the 500 sheets for other purposes.

Walmart sells Avery labels 20  to the package. $5.34. So what is your time (and glue) worth for all that gluing of the label.

I guess I wasn't selling when the slips were on the same page but I do recall being able to select both. Now, I have to keep clicking around to get back to the item to get a packing slip.  I like the look of adding the packing slip to the box.
