As of today eBay has the wisdom of changing how packing slips are generated!
I generate labels elsewhere. Now I cannot print a packing slip.
I can't print your packing slip after generating the label elsewhere!

Anyone find a way around this?

I just printed slips like I always do. Nothing has changed in my world. Maybe I don't understand your issue.

You can still print a packing slip from the Hub Orders page without having to first purchase a shipping label.
Find the order and select "print packing slip and more" from the actions drop-down.
To any seller that does not like the packing slip format because it's too long / too many pages on large orders compared to the apparently retired format:
When you generate a packing slip from the "print packing slip and more" option on the Hub Orders page, there's a small link on the lower left of the pop-up window that says "tell us what you think" which pulls up a form that goes directly to the product developers.
They do read those comments and I suggest submitting your FB about the length of these less compact slips if it's negatively impacting your business.

After wasting more time, I found I can print a packing slip and customize it. I like the other format better.
Thank you for your time!

I was used to going to print shipping label and there was a tab to print packing slip.
Today there was a message "We have introduced a new Packing slip tool with new functionalities. You can print your packing slip after generating the label."
Totally messed with my mind!

Yeah, it appears eBay is deprecating the older condensed format. Sellers are being phased in batches from what CS has relayed.
The "new" format has actually been around for several years and eBay has solicited FB from sellers and made a few changes to the customization options based on that FB.

They apparently didn't get opinions from those of us who used the simple format from the label page.

Right, because the only sellers submitting FB were those that actually used the new format.
If you're not testing the new format and submitting FB because you're using the old format exclusively, then eBay's not hearing the need for a condensed format until the old format is already gone.
