Packages Bouncing Around Everywhere!

Okay, I just had to come post to see if others are having this issue right now... I have several packages out right now that are bouncing around from city to city. I'm in South Carolina and shipped one to west of Atlanta. It went to somewhere in Georgia and then was "missent" back to my town. I have another one right now that went to Las Vegas where it was supposed to be going, but now is back in Charlotte, NC! These packages are being delayed, because they are going all over the country. Is anyone else having this issue with multiple packages right now?

The Missent item was probably a sorting error, and will get redirected to the correct location once it gets back to the location where it first went into the wrong bin.

The one headed to Vegas may actually be in Vegas (after all, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas 😁), but if it was not scanned when coming out of the shipping container or truck into which it was placed back in Charlotte, then tracking will continue to follow the container, not the package, until the package itself passes under a scanner somewhere else (Vegas, most likely). A loop going back and forth between Charlotte and Vegas is probably still following the truck or container on its regular rounds, but the package may have been offloaded in Vegas as intended. The next scan it gets will clear things up a lot.

Packages Bouncing Around Everywhere!

I live in Utah.  I bought something from a seller in San Francisco via media mail.  It went to Hawaii first and didnt get to me for a month.  I felt bad for the seller who was freaking out and let it go beyond the eBay timelines (Knowing I could use Paypal if I had to).  It did arrive a month late...  Ordered Black Friday, arriving Jan 15th.

Someone mentioned a sorting error... That is most likely it.  They got mis scanned and are in limbo until USPS figures it out.

I thought Missent was a town in Indiana. Maybe I'm thinking of Muncie... 😁

Does anyone remember the poor guy who lived in Erlanger, Kentucky? That's where the Global Shipping center for Pitney-Bowes is, so all the eBay GSP packages went there. He actually lived there, but he was complaining that he could never get his purchases delivered, because all his packages kept getting missorted and winding up at the GSP center instead. I forget how that turned out. Probably someone suggested he get a PO Box in a neighboring town.
