Package shows delivered on USPS site, on Ebay shows delivered and then movement after.

I have a package that shows it was delivered on the USPS site, however when I click on the tracking number in my purchase history page, it shows delivered on the same date and time as the USPS site and then after it shows movement to another city in the same state and then movement to a state outside my state. Does anyone know what has happened to this shipment? I have not received the package.

We can make guesses @mozartbach1971, but nobody except USPS can tell you what actually happened.

Guess: carrier scanned prematurely, brought it back to PO without delivering and it got put in the wrong sorting bin.

Solution: Go to your local post office or call them. Ask them to check the GPS on the tracking scan and ask what the new scans mean. Ask them to speak with the carrier if necessary.

Or they scanned as delivered instead of accepted at the origin PO, and ebay tracking will stop after seeing that. So just keep checking it on USPS.

It looks like I accidentally hit solution on this. I'm not quite sure what you are saying.  The USPS site already says it was delivered. Did you say you want me to keep checking on that site?

Yes

If they had the scanner set to scan as 'delivered' instead of 'accepted', it shows delivered(to your zip code). it will keep travelling, and the scans should show up on USPS.com, but ebay usually stops showing as soon as it sees delivered(to anywhere).

Actually it shows stopped on the USPS site, however it shows keep moving on the Ebay site. Do you know what this means?
