I sold a buyer some toys back in June 2018, shipped on June 8 and was expected to be delivered June 12th. (From Los Angeles, CA to Miami, FL. I kept an eye on the tracking progress, all seemed well until about after June 11, the package was out for delivery), but then June 12th it reported "delayed". Now, the tracking info says "awaiting delivery scan June 12th". It's already July 27th. I've already contacted USPS to trace the package, with no response. I even sent the buyer a message in regards to having them reach out to their local post office about its whereabouts (no response from the buyer either). What can I do?

If a package doesn't show as delivered doesn't that hurt you in your seller metrics as a "late delivery"? I'm unsure as I've always called to have the delivery scan done the next day before it would indicate a late delivery. I'm sure so long as the buyer left feedback indicating that it did arrive on time it wouldn't count against you, but most buyers don't bother with leaving feedback.
My understanding after reading the help page may be wrong but it says that a package will only be considered late if you don’t upload tracking and the buyer states it arrived late or there is no acceptance scan within your stated handling time, tracking shows it arrives late and the buyer doesn’t confirm it arrives on time. So no, in this case as long as tracking was uploaded & an acceptance scan was made within the OPs handling time, lack of a delivery scan will not hurt him 🙂

Be ware of forwarding service addresses. If it has a long odd numer/letter combination it most likely is. There is one in Miami and is a growing issue.
This means the buyer overseas and bypassed being charged proper shipping anyways.
Having to cancel any of these going forward, because some reason they are not making it. They stuck in customs and delayed for long period, or the buyer a fraud. 6 sent. None ever arrived to actual address
I tend to beliver very few are frauds, and feel someone that works for this forwarding service is stealing random items. Could understand a couple go lost. But not every try. Always different buyers/different countries also.
Ebay does not support it, so if tracked, you can dispute any refund request by buyer. If not tracked, send the refund, write off the loss and move on.

eBay does support it. If a buyer is using a forwarding service then they didn’t bypass being charged proper shipping. They have a valid US which is where you shipped. If it gets lost in. Customs is never involved on your end because you didn’t ship internationally. Once the package arrives at the forwarder, you are clear. Whenever the buyer files an INR, it doesn’t matter where you shipped-if you have proof of delivery to the address on the buyers payment, you win the INR. Whether it’s a forwarding service or not. The only thing eBay does not support is an SNAD claim when the item is forwarded after delivery.

Support stated to me 3 times they do not support it. Nor does paypal. They bypass "Free shipping" and make claims by estimated delivery dates to an American Address even thou it takes longer to get to Saudi Arabia, or where they may actually be.
If google the service address, you will find a whole bunch that complained about them .
Always someone has to dispute anything said so expect it again but, ebay does not support use of any mailing services in USA, for anything other then what is available in shipping options.
If they not in USA, they do not deserve ' free shipping' money back guarantee in 3 days. Get real. Forwarding services not linked to USPS FEDEX or UPS are risksto every seller here.

I don't think you understand how a shipping forwarder works. All a US seller has to do is prove delivery to the US address. The trip to Saudi Arabia or anywhere else doesn't matter.

@trueartworx Support was wrong as usual. PayPal fully supports it. I would suggest read eBay and PayPal policies since customer service is wrong 99% of the time 🙂

keep on believing that while support closed 2 cases of this. Buyer got no refund due to being international. Item showed delivered to Miami.. After that This forwarding company is responsible for the item and buyer has to contact them. Not us. Not ebay.

There's a misunderstanding here.
You got the cases closed because they showed delivered to the address the buyer provided at checkout.
eBay does not condemn freight forwarders, but once the seller does what they have to do on their end, their responsibility is over.

@trueartworx I understand just fine and what I said is correct. You appear to not understand that you won those cases because you had proof of delivery to the address the buyer provided. That is why you won. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with the buyer being international. Suggest you read the money ASAP

dear brick wall, point is forwarding address are not supported and risk to any seller to ship to them. . Pick at technical righteousness until your blue in face. Commented to help ANY seller BEWARE of these addresses. They are 3rd party, nearly always international buyers and they are expecting US rates/guarantees & polices .
Also by selling to a Miami Address, it counts towards Florida Sales tax for a buyer that is not in USA either. No customs forms are being included ,violating international shipping of valued items.
Selll to them at your own risk of loss item, time wasting claims, bad feedbacks & nonsense of arguing on community pages over. With only a chance of a successful sale and profit from it.
We'll continue to cancel any future orders to these forwarding address, for bad address, as support advised & message buyer asking them to use real address to purchase going forward.
