Package returned back to sender because I wasn't at home

Hello,

I have ordered a package from USA to Montenegro Europe (ebay via DHL Express) but it arrived a month earlier from estimated delivery time. I was out of the country, the postman didn't leave paper with notification(like they usually do), my parents also seemed not to be at home or didn't hear him, they didn't call me (or I was out of reach since I didn't expect delivery) and the post office returned the shipment back to sender so it's now stuck..somewhere. I've tried ebay support on facebook but they don't know, DHL doesn't respond for 2 days on any email, do you have  any advice? I would like to get the package ASAP even if I have to pay extra for another shipment.

If the seller shipped direct then you can ask the seller if they'll reship (if you pay for shipping) once the item returned.

If this was through eBay International Shipping then the seller is not involved. Item will get returned and liquidated with no possibility of reshipping.

You can try filing a non-receipt claim to see if eBay will refund you as part of the eIS program, but generally speaking this situation is not covered by eBay's Money Back Guarantee.

Instructions on filing a non-receipt claim here: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/get-help-item-hasnt-arrived?id=4042

If the carrier still has it you can try calling them to see if there's any possibility for them to make another delivery attempt. If the carrier says no then there's nothing you can do to recover the package.
