Package Tracking

So I shipped a package to a buyer in California but when following the tracking on both eBay and usps.com, I find that the package has ended up in Philidelphia. I've opened a first-class inquiry, but I'm concerned it's lost. Is this common? What should I do aside from waiting?

It's not uncommon. The package was mis-routed. It will get turned around eventually. Opening an inquiry with USPS, which you said you already did, will typically make that happen faster.
