Not as described item return

I recently purchased a listing that I came to find out was not what was shown in the picture or described in the listing. The seller is stating that I will have to pay the return fee because I’m at fault. I have mentioned to him that nowhere in his listing did it mention the specific model that he was selling. However he is also telling me that nowhere in the add it describes the model that I intended on buying even though it shows the picture and states it in the description. I was wondering if I should try to argue about it not being as described or just pay the return fee. Thank you for the support. I can send images of the listing and what the product he is sending me if that is of help

Not as described item return

You don’t need to pay for return shipping if the item isn’t as described. The seller needs to send you a return label so you can ship it back and get refunded.

Everyone has options. Just be sure the best option is right for you.

@canwur0

File an item not as described refund request.  Doesn't match picture or description  Seller pays return shipping

File the request here: https://resolutioncenter.ebay.com/

4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not provided a return shipping label OR sent the funds to your paypal account to pay return shipping if they are in another country then ask ebay to step in and help:    https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/ask-ebay-to-step-in?id=4701

2 business days after tracking shows delivery back to the seller the eBay system will automatically refund you if the seller has not already done so.

For returns to another country:

A seller that is in a different country than you can not provide a return shipping label, which makes international returns a little trickier and you often have to ask ebay for help.

Ask eBay to have the seller send money to your PayPal account to pay for return shipping. Do not pay return shipping and expect to be refunded for it.

Then after you contact ebay they put the case on hold for 5 days while the seller sends the funds to your PayPal account.

THEN after you receive the money you have 5 days to have the package scanned showing that it is on it's way back.

If the seller fails to send the funds to your PayPal account when the 5 days have passed then contact eBay again and they will close the case in your favor without requiring a return.

You may need to call ebay:

If you have to purchase a label with the funds provided at the post office be sure to upload the tracking number into the case. The tracking number is your proof of delivery.
Returns to China or other countries that do not have 1st class delivery confirmation MUST be shipped Priority mail.

There is no need to dialog with the seller.  If you do not receive what is in the pictures that are part of the listing, then you go into your purchase history, find the item, select the option that states that you want to return the item, and then select "Doesn't match description or photos" as your return reason (you might have to click to expand the list of return reasons).

You are not responsible for return shipping, and you are due a full refund of all money that you paid.   The seller must either provide you with a return shipping label, or (if out of country) they must provide you funds through PayPal for a tracked shipping service to their location.   If they do neither within 3 days, then escalate the claim with eBay.

do not argue just open a not as described return request,if seller does not provide return shipping label on date in request use the ask ebay to step in link and they will provide label then bill seller.Upon tracking stating seller received return you will be refunded
