so I already know the routine about not receiving a package on the intended delivery date which would entitle me to file in INR, but just for the purpose of this discussion, I was wanting to know if anybody has ever dealt with a seller who never provided a tracking number, and claim that the package was delivered at either the post office, or at your house or apartment complex and claims that they can prove this?
in a nutshell an item was purchased on October 12th what's an estimated delivery date between October 18th to October 31st; I've already contacted the seller which they have told me in numerous responses that in order to get a tracking number a package has to be more than $50. the seller also claims that the package was delivered on the 22nd of October but yet I have no confirmation to believe that the item was actually deliver at this time. All I have to go off of is "Word of Mouth". so what I'm wanting to know is if let's say the item is actually at the post office in my area and has been on hold since that time how do I proceed in trying to claim this item without any actual proof that states otherwise? the only other possibility that I have in this case is to also check my front office of my apartment complex to see if they actually have the package. Technically they're supposed to give me a package in the office lip that states otherwise but I never received such thing which that is technically the post office responsibility and doing so.

This statement is all you need to know. Unless you are buying something incredibly cheap, your seller is incompetent, underage, or senile ... and you are wasting your energy trying to sleuth an answer.
File the INR and move on.
