No returns buyer wants to return

Sold a item and I have no returns sent item out today then seen the message from buyer  when i got back."I got the wrong size  I would like to return this item. Sorry for my mistake."

Do I have to accept item back? and if I do  how should I proceed if shipping was couple dollars I would not care but it  was almost 20 dollars.

Buyer has to pay for return shipping correct? Also am I out the original shipping?

No returns buyer wants to return

“Wrong size” issues are considered buyers remorse, so you don’t have to accept the return.  If you do, the buyer has to pay return shipping.

No returns buyer wants to return

Could they possibly claim SNAD after they already stated wrong size before receiving item? Thanks

Yes, they could!  And if they do, your chances of fighting this and winning could be slim.  This is why a "no returns" policy makes little sense. fwiw.  Buyers know how to get around a 'no returns' policy.

You are aware that a SNAD case means they get a refund in spite of your 'no returns' policy?  So at that point sending a return label is on you.  Resist, eBay could see the 'no returns' policy and just refund the buyer on your dime.

Work the cost of an occasional return into the price of each item. So do that by taxing each sale and setting the funds aside in a 'self insurance' fund.  I know returns are pain, it took me a while to get use to them and how to set up things to deal with them when they happen.

Anyway, your best move at this point is to tell them something like this:

Gosh, sorry you ordered the wrong size!  We will be happy to provide a full refund when you return the item to us!

Then hope they ship it back to you on their dime.  That is the best way to cut your loss on this deal.

Good luck!
