I need to void a USPS label that I sent to a customer for a return package because they no longer need to use it. When I went to void it, there is no option to void, but there is an option to cancel the label. Is this the same thing as voiding and will the refund for the cost of the label take the same amount of time? It seems that I recalled you only getting a certain amount of hours to void a label, but when I googled, it saw many saying you get 5 days to void a label... that why I hoped I would still see an actual "Void" option still in the drop down box. If I do the "cancel label" option and give the reason, will the next page after that inform me that I will be getting a refund?

It surprised me the first time I saw it, too. Yes... 'Cancel' is the word you're looking for now to void a label.

You can cancel the label, it is the same as voiding it.

If the label was sent through ebay, then you won't be billed unless the label is used.

I don't know if that is true or not for USPS. It seems you get billed right away for those labels on your account. Now with Fedex(and maybe UPS as well), I know you don't get billed until the label is actually scanned.

You get billed right away for a usps that you use for sending an item to a buyer. But afaik return labels are not charged for unless they are used.

Buyer bought return labels can't be voided or cancelled. It is charged to your account only after it is shipped.
