No Tracking Data

Tracking data does not show. I've now sent a package and purchased a package, and no tracking is provided

The buyer of my item is worried that her purchase will not arrive in time for an event. The label I purchased through Ebay came with tracking but when the tracking number is referenced, it states that USPS has yet to receive it. I had dropped it off at USPS that same day as the label creation.

This is the same with the item I purchased. After 6 days, I referenced the tracking number and it stated the same, that the label was created but the package had yet to be received by USPS. The seller assured me that the package had been sent.

What is going on?

If you dropped off the package but didn't wait for the clerk to scan it, then it hasn't been scanned yet. Check tracking at USPS.com - does it show the same thing - no scans, just waiting for acceptance?

All you can do is assure the buyer it was shipped and that your PO rushed it out to the local distribution center without scanning it, and that scans will eventually populate. It's not uncommon for a package to not get scanned until it reaches the buyer and their local carrier performs a delivery scan, especially if the label was damaged or not readable and the carrier has to manually key in the delivery.
