Pretty much the title. I recently got a sell for international shipping. I allowed the option to sell international not thinking much of it. I put in the dimensions and weight of the package thinking it wouldn’t cost much, however I saw that if I wanted to ship the item the buyer bought it would cost me $15 for a $7 item. The weight of the package is not even a pound as it will be delivered in an envelope. Can someone please help me.

Shipping costs have no correlation to the selling price.
If set up properly, the buyer’s payment will cover shipping, all selling fees, and cost of goods leaving the seller with a profit.
I can’t see what was sold. When you go to the listing and adjust shipping information to the buyer’s location, does it give the correct amount?

To be honest I just selected the recommended option for shipping internationally. As a result, the buyer is inly paying $1.55 while I pay $15. I’m not sure how to go about this for future reference.

An item number would help.
international listings will charge the buyer a different amount than what you see has been paid to you.

Sorry I’m new to this. What do you mean by item number?

In the listing itself, there is a eBay item number.
