Lately Ebay delivers all my parcels to a shipping subcontractor who won't deliver to my address. They deliver to a city not close to my home address. This although that I have a local post office within walking distance.
It's only Ebay that has this bad service, all the other US companys that I buy from will deliver to my home address, normaly at a much lower cost as well.

eBay does not deliver ANY parcels ANYWHERE.
If your mailing address is correct on the package, then you probably should address this with your local postal service.

Ebay has subcontractors that are supposed to ship to the correct address, but, they find it more profitable to let the buyers pick up the parcels. So, yes, Ebay is responsible for this mess.

Wrong @mop413 eBay is a online selling platform with independent sellers (both small and large} If your account shipping address is correct you will want to follow @soh.maryl advice and contact your local post office

No. You need to ask the seller who they are shipping through and make sure it is someone who will deliver to you. This is eBay, They have no vans, they DO NOT DELIVER. yet. You need to figure out who is not delivering your items.

Scroll up and look at the four letter name written at the top left of this page. You've got the wrong site or the wrong company in mind.

@mop413 ,
What subcontractors are you referring to, specifically? Why are they not delivering to your shipping address? Are you using a Post Office box, perhaps?
eBay does not ship anything, eBay sellers do. However, eBay has a couple of shipping services available for international shipping, which sellers can choose to use. Because of COVID restrictions, many sellers are choosing these over the post office because the US post office is not delivering to some countries any more.
The Global Shipping Program (GSP) and eBay Standard International shipping (ESI) may use the local post office or a local courier to deliver to the final destination in some countries, but the items are supposed to be delivered to the buyer's shipping address as provided at checkout. That's why we need to know the reason why you are not getting deliveries to your shipping address.

It's via Global shipping program - my address is correct, but some subcontractor glues another label over the original one, maring it pick-up parcel instead. I'm absolutely not wrong on this as none of my parcels through the Global shipping program has arrived to my local post office since more then a year. I have repeatedly tryed to inform the Ebay support, but they couldn't care less.
The final sub contractor is Bring City mail and the shipping hub is Pitney Bowes.
Exerpt from one Ebay answer;
eBay has a partnership with the shipping hub Pitney Bowes, they choose the carrier service for delivery of your packages in Sweden. This carrier is Bring, and they are supposed to deliver the package close to your address. If they don't, then we don't know why. I am happy to send your complaint over to Pitney Bowes so that they can reach out to Bring on this issue. I truly apologize for the inconvenience of having to drive that far to pick up your item.
I understand that you may have needed that part, but going forward if Bring isn't delivering the package closer to your location, please reach out to us. That being said, I went ahead and opened and closed a case for you and got you refunded on this. You can expect the refund within 48 hours. I appreciate your time today.
Of course, since then, nothing changes. Ebay might blame the sellers, but the sellers are using the Global shipping program, for which, far as I can understand, Ebay is responsible.

Had that post started with "I'm in Sweden and ....." maybe we would have understood better. Or had been better able to direct you.

More from the sourdough history;
Hi just to inform you that this was a failure – I just got a message that I’m welcome to travel 40 miles one way for to pick up the parcel for which I overpaid the shipping for (considering that I must do part of the couriers work for them).
In the future, I’ll avoid the global shipping program and ask the sellers to ship with a reliable transport instead. USPS always worked great before the Global Shipping Program and I think they still are reliable.
Further, I will naturally search for options if I can avoid E-bay.
I have picked up all the parcels with the Global Shipping Program myself for at least a year, so, I’m getting tired of it now.
Answer;
Hello Sven,
Thank you for contacting eBay regarding the difficulty you have to face with the shipping service.
As a buyer myself I can certainly relate to the inconvenience caused to you due to this and I am here to assist you with this in the best possible manner.
I have checked the details and confirm the item us under Global Shipping Programme. Be assured, the item will be delivered at your delivery address. Further, if in case the item is not delivered at your address then I suggest you to help us with the proof of delivery receipt so, we can take a report of this.
I would like to share that the transaction is safe and the order is covered under protection policy.
Thank you for using eBay and you are a valued member.
Naturally, I had to drive for to pick up my parcel.

The sub contractor chain is this; Pitney Bowes > Europaket > Bring City mail
Just got the information that my latest purchase also will not be delivered to my home address.
Ebay sent me an email promising that the package would be sent to my home address, that's clearly not the intention. Worst customer treahtment experienced. In the old days it always worked out as it should.
I cannot understand why Swedish customer deserves a bad threatment even though paying a high shipping rate.

I get the information that the Global Shipping Program is not part of, nor the responsability of Ebay. Is this correct?
12-15-2021 04:27 PM
I'm not sure what you are asking but ebay doesn't directly handle packages sent by the GSP. However, they are the ones that need to complain to Pitney Bowes if the services that they are using are not delivering directly to the buyer's payment address. I would be annoyed as well. If you have any documentation showing that you had to pick up your package and that the delivery service did not offer home delivery, you should send a message to customer service on eBay Facebook or Twitter. They will hopefully send that complaint up the line.
There are exceptions of when an ebay package may have to be picked up at a courier or a post office would that should only happen if the buyer owes taxes and duty on the package. That shouldn't happen with a GSP package.

@mop413 they are suppose to deliver "CLOSE" to your address, SERIOUSLY? CLOSE? THAT from eBay's renowned GSP program? CLOSE???????? We have a saying here, "close but no cigar" ... "CLOSE" may count in pitching quoits but NOT in delivering packages ... wow, that is a sad story ...

Just got a message that I need to drive for to pick up my parcel, just as usual. So The Global Shipping Program fails again. I have no idea whos to blame for this since the chain is long; Ebay-Pitney Bowes-Euro Paket-Bring City Mail. This time I only need to drive 14 miles times 2 (44 kilometers total). So it's an improvement, but still a very dissapointing experience.
As a result of this, I'll stay clear from the Global Shipping Program and only buy items which the sellers can ship with standard flat rate,
The Ebay support is most probably the worlds worst and abusive at that.
I've reported this behavior 4 times now with absolutely no reaction, nor any real response.
Such a drag
