I don't know how it works in India (or anywhere else in the world), but here in the US, the USPS tracking normally updates at each scan, but not always. In the case you're describing, that would be the acceptance scan (assuming a USPS tracking number, of course).
In short, if you're waiting on a package with USPS tracking, either your seller hasn't yet tendered it to the Post Office, or the Post Office failed to scan it on acceptance. Further assuming, of course, that your seller has actually had time to get it to the Post Office - sales on Saturday afternoons (after the PO has closed) can't realistically be expected to be tendered before Monday.

If it's past the estimated delivery date, you can file an Item Not Received case.
If that date hasn't passed yet, you'll have to wait until after that date to do anything.

Ask your post office if they can find your package.
