Hello,
I bought an item in USA from Switzerland but provided a wrong shipping address (actually my account wasn't updated with my new address). Now, the item just arrived in my country but was attempted to be delivered to the wrong address, which appears in the tracking details.
How can I communicate to ebay that the address has to be changed for me to receive my item?
Thank you in advance for the help

You communicate with the seller not eBay. Go to the item you purchased in your purchase history, click “ More actions” drop-down menu and click “contact seller”.
Your seller will more than likely refund your money minus the original shipping. They may have you buy the item again provided the item is returned. It may take a while since it is going to the US from over seas. Ensure your address is correct in your account prior to purchase. Sellers are required by eBay to only ship to the address shown in the order details.
Good luck.

If the package is still in your country @pietrozh then you should try to retrieve it from the carrier.
Can you let us know, did the tracking number begin with EEUS?
If this was an eBay International Shipping package then the seller is out of the equation, and eBay policy does not cover refunds for non receipt claims when the buyer provides a wrong address.

Hello,
No it doesn't begin with EEUS. And I don't know what is the carrier unfortunately

Your first sentence confuses me. At first, the implication you made is that your seller is in Switzerland and you are in the US.
However your profile shows that you are in Switzerland. So did you buy something from a US seller and have it shipped to a previous address in Switzerland?
Do you know the people who are currently living at the previous address? Is the old address within driving distance for you?
Perhaps you can contact them and they may be willing to work with you.
Otherwise, you are out of luck because you (as the buyer) are supposed to make sure that your shipping address is correct.

Check which carriers ship from Switzerland.

See OP's profile. I think the item was being shipped from the US to the OP who is located in Switzerland. (see my post above yours.)

If it hasn't been delivered yet quickly put in a change of address with your post office so it will be forwarded to you.
Unless the item is returned the seller is not obligated to refund. Even if they refuse to refund after getting it back eBay will not step in. You'll have to file a chargeback if the seller doesn't voluntarily refund.

Oops... check carriers in Switzerland from USA.
I guess it would be USPS...FedEx or UPS then?...where buyer should check with those web sites.
Or the item should say on the purchase how it might be shipped?

Thank you, I will try to contact the seller. Maybe he can contact the carrier to communicate the correct address.

In the tracking details, it is written that they are waiting for correct address. So I hope the seller can communicate it to them. I contacted him, so we'll see.
Thank you for your answer
