I mailed a package to a buyer...tracking # indicates that it is still in transit???? I have been in contact with the buyer, USPS and Ebay...no one seems to have an answer for me...the buyer is very angry and nasty with me....and expects a full refund...I guess I have no recourse other than to refund her money and be out of the item plus the money...does Ebay do anything to protect of help the seller???

Hi,
if you mailed the package and if its more than 14 days and item not delivered and still showing in transit its mean package is lost by carrier, you should file a claim with carrier on USPS website and you will win the claim, you will get money back from carrier, but beside this you have to give full refund to buyer, but before you give full refund to buyer, write to buyer , " its not my fault its happen by carrier and i am committed to solve the issue in term of full refund with agreement no negative or neutral feedback will be given"
if you agree for above mentioned agreement please reply us in "YES" , so definitely he want his money back but by agreement you will safe from negative feedback.
TIP : sometimes on ebay tracking its shows in transit but if you check on carrier website its shows delivered, so make sure you check first on carrier website what its says, if its shows delivered, than copy and past tracking history and send to buyer that its delivered. if it shows in transit than file claim with carrier, but don't hold the buyer, give him agreement so if he agree than give him full refund otherwise ask ebay to step in so you will be protected for negative feedback because its not your fault.
HOPE ITS HELP

Free Insurance coverage ?
Did USPS or ebay suggest, you chose not to have shipped the mail article insured?

Complete nonsense. Your message will not stop "any" feedback from being left.

More nonsense. eBay's outlook on this is that the seller chose the carrier, and therefore is responsible for whatever happens. Any loss of the item, damage to the item, is the responsibility of the seller.
