Media Mail

I have many books, CD's, Casettes, newspapers I am trying to sell. They are in the right category. Some even came up automatically when I put in the ISBN number. I have looked these over several times and I cannot for the life of me figure out why I cannot choose Media Mail. I even tried deleting one and starting over...same thing.

please help

As there has been abuse of MM, on "eBay" some selling categories do not show MM shipping. It was an attempt , "gone afoul" , on eBay's part trying to curb that abuse.  Just to note,,,   I do not believe that "newspapers" can be shipped by MM. As I understand it, age make no difference.

Media Mail should be available as an option as long as you list in the proper categories.  Straight books, CDs, cassettes will be okay.  Newspapers, comic books, and magazines won't be.

But yeah, the Elton John Diana tribute disc should definitely be okay for Media Mail.  In fact, with the options you got on it right now, you'll literally have 0 chance of selling it if you don't get that set.

As for what I saw browsing your stuff, tighten up the titles.   You got them so vague, non-descriptive and out of sorts ("Diana Princess of Wales Tribute" on that disc for example) no one will find most of your items anyway.

Edit your listing.  Under "Shipping Policy", it should allow you to change it to Media Mail.

You may have to click the bar with the three dots and create a policy to do it, but that's how you select the shipping service you want to use and the handling time you have out on it.

Not everything that you think can go by Media Mail can ACTUALLY go by Media Mail.

readabouthorses gave you an excellent link. Use and and believe it.

If you try to skate around the edges it will cost you far more than the petty shipping costs you think you are saving.

The post office has an automatic and blanket authority to open ANY Media Mail package. If the post office clerk decides that the item does not qualify then the package is reclassified as to what it should be. First class, Priority, etc.

THEN your buyer gets a HEFTY Postage Due bill when the package arrives.

Hello RED DONUT

And of course a demand for a refund of the postage due.
