In the past two weeks I have had 3 packages marked as delivered to my address but I never received them. All three where mailed in the Ebay standard envelopes for sports cards because the tracking number starts with Esus.. The post office keeps telling me that it is not their problem because it is not their tracking numbers therefore they cannot locate my packages. And i cannot get any actual person to talk to on ebay customer service. The only help I can find on Ebay is filing a claim for a refund through the person I bought the item from. I dont want my money back I want to know where these packages are going! Any help would be appreciated. Again the post office refuses to help me.

As a mail carrier, I can say that this is probably true. Not only have I yet to see one of these I haven't even heard of them other than on this forum. I would like to see one of these labels if someone could post a picture.
There are all sorts of letters that have bogus tracking numbers mimicking certified mail to make the piece look important. And as most carriers take DPS to the street without casing. They are fingering through quickly looking just enough to see the address. If it is an address that gets a lot of mail this may not even be letter by letter. IMO I think it would be more likely than not that these would not be scanned than they would on delivery and the sorting machines for letters are not set up for tracking numbers.

In a non-postal forum like this it is more helpful to spell out what you are trying to say rather than using the postal acronym. For those who don't know, DPS is Delivery Point Sequence, the USPS name for the trays of presorted letters that mail carriers receive and deliver each day.

Title of this thread:
"Marked as delivered but it wasnt!"
Direct quote from the OP: "In the past two weeks I have had 3 packages marked as delivered to my address but I never received them."
SOMEONE scanned them as delivered. If not a carrier, then who?
cobra.cards.comics, I have never seen any of these envelopes either so I don't know what the label/bar code looks like. Obviously, someone scanned them delivered. Once dropped off with the post office no one else would have access to do that scan. So someone within the USPS saw it and scanned it. You will have to move up the line of USPS complaint forms or missing item claim to try to find out where they were scanned and maybe get an idea of where they went.
If you try to file an Item Not Received claim with eBay the seller will win. There is a delivery scan.

first check your addy on file with ebay and make sure it is you current one.
I do suspect the USPS is not going to be of help with this...Yet as others said it was scan to say delivered.
If they used a fake location with your zip (a common scam now days),
it might be a major problem to prove...
Keep us informed of how this goes...

So I literally just received this notice plus two more of the same but of different packages!
That is my address and there is nothing in my mailbox. What is happening here?

Does each DSP tray have a code or something that the carrier scans when they take it out in the morning?

That looks like the delivery scan is at the same time as the "dropped off" event. Like maybe eBay is giving it a "delivered" status when the label is printed....?
Are there any buyers reading this that have actually received an eBay standard envelope with delivery scan? If so, do the results on the status look like this one?

Here is an image someone posted of ESE Ebay Standard Envelope label.

I've never seen one of those when delivering. And never had anyone at the PO mention them, much less explain that the barcode above the address needs to be scanned upon delivery. Other than the notation in the upper left there is nothing on there that a carrier would recognize as needing a delivery scan.
Don't know how any of these letters would get a legit USPS delivery scan.

A lot of people have reported that these are often marked as delivered a day or more before actual delivery to mailbox.
Since the carrier can't scan that type of code I thought maybe it had something to do with Informed Delivery. Usually when Informed Delivery sends an email with the pictures of our letters that are supposed to be coming today they actually come a day or so later.

That barcode is scannable. There's just no reason to scan it. There's nothing on that label that indicates the barcode needs to be scanned. And without instruction from someone. anyone. then mail carriers are unlikely to scan it.
I'm stumped as to how/if anyone in USPS actually does scan it.
And the picture above showing delivery the same day as drop off further suggests it is not the USPS recording these events.

I did add your tracking to https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/ESUS52479353 and it does show "days in transit 3"
Also it does show more detailed information about the tracking of your package.
Note that i have no idea about this, just tried adding your tracking information to different websites to find something about it. There are reviews about it being fake tracking website so i have no idea really.

No, the tray will just have the zip code and the route it goes to, nothing to scan at all.
