Hey all,
For those who offer 1-day handling time: how do you manage that with the inevitable life-related situations that occasionally come up?
I ship the next business day 99% of the time, but there's always that 1 day out of 100 when something important comes up and I can't ship for a day. It's a rare occurrence - maybe 1 day every 3 months or so. But when it happens, having 2-day handling has saved me from late shipments.
I would LOVE to set my handling time to 1-day for the additional sales it would bring, but I'm also worried that I'd end up with the occasional late shipment if I couldn't ship for a single day.
So how do you guys handle that? I'm relatively new to selling on eBay, so any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

If you estimate that you would have 1 day out of 90 with a late shipment, that would not be catastrophic. I have a 1-day handling time, but I am also a small volume seller, so having lots of late shipments would not be good.
For my last evaluation, my late shipment rate is .78% and that is 1 out of 129 transactions. I'm still a top rated seller with that percentage.
