Mailing items in a pwe with no tracking....

I had lots of sports cards I’m looking to sell. They won’t sell for much (about $2) so I’m going to ship them in a plain white envelope with no tracking. First of all, which option do I select for this. Secondly, since I won’t be uploading tracking, would my account be at risk for being suspended? I understand the risk of buyers saying they didn’t get it so I don’t need that speech lol, I thought about selecting local pickup as the option but I’m scared that may deter potential bidders because they may not read my description that I would be shipping in a pwe

By option do you mean BIN or Auction choices?  If you have hundreds or more to sell & are in a hurry then BIN. If some are highly popular athletes they may get more than $2. Then auction may be best.  I've sold hundreds of single & up to 5 cards in a pwe with no returns. It's such a small item that usually scammers aren't interested in messing with me!  Tracking is not required, just suggested.

I'm not sure how people sell stuff without tracking and stay in good standing personally. The one seller I have bought from that ships in envelopes with no tracking puts "economy shipping" as their primary shipping option. Alternatively you could put them in lots big enough to justify First Class mail with tracking.

Are you charging the buyer shipping or are you offering free shipping?

If you are charging the buyer how much are you charging? As a first class letter you would only pay about 55-60 cents (or whatever it is now).

SO

either way - when you create your listing select  "flat cost to all buyer" then click "standard shipping". If you are planning on charging your buyer, lets say, 75 cents then enter that as the shipping fee. If free shipping enter 0.00.

HOWEVER

Since you will not be uploading any tracking numbers and assuming these are the only items you are selling then very quickly you will run afoul of the shipping metrics. If you are selling other more expensive items with a tracking number then you can salvage it somewhat but you will still need to keep a careful eye on your tracking percentages.

I do not believe that eBay has any special dispensation for sellers in your position so I think in time it will bite you.

When a 90% tracking metric was acceptable I sold a lot of stickers just the way you want to. But I sold enough other items to meet the 90%. Now that metric has been raised to 95% compliance I gave that up and even the cheap stuff goes as a first class package with tracking. Yes, I probably lose some sales but them's the rules.

I simply list as economy shipping for those little ephemera items with little value that can be mailed in an envelope with a stamp. But beware if shipping too many of these items as you may lose a "top rated" status which has some significance to some sellers.  If you have many such items perhaps best to get a second account dedicated to such items.

No suspension for not using tracking. It is not a requirement. Just drop out of "top rated".  You would only have account issues if you failed to refund when a buyer claims INR.  TRS gets you little. A small eBay discount (3%) on Priority mail labels. Other than that TRS is just a little pat on the back for you to see.

Ah ok so as long as there is really no major perk to being a TRS and my account won’t be suspended for not uploading tracking I’m ok with that thanks

How about selling them in lots?

If one would sell at $2 and you ship in a PWE, you are either taking that 55c off the $2 or charging  55c s/h.

Up to 4 ounces can be shipped First Class Parcel for $3.09 across the country (less if they are close to your location) this could be supported by a lot of 6 cards for the same shipping, and though I have no idea what a sports card weighs, I am sure you could add many more before reaching the 4 ounce point.

This way you get a higher profit and tracking.
