It's waaaaay too soon to decide that your package has been lost. It arrived at the local PO at 7:30 this morning. It's possible that there's a good reason that it didn't get delivered today, but might be delivered tomorrow or Monday.
It might have arrived after the sorting for the day was complete, or even after your carrier had left to do his route. Or it might he been overlooked. Maybe you didn't notice, but much of the Chicago area has been seriously affected by record-breaking cold this week. Thousands of flights have been canceled, mail delivery was suspended, schools and offices were closed. It shouldn't be surprising if mail delivery is running behind Schedule. Your carrier has a lot of catching up to do. Maybe the carrier's truck was too full of other packages this morning, so some have to wait until tomorrow. Try not to think about it again until Monday night.
