Looking for advice on offering returns

Hi all I am in need of some advice. I primarily sell DVD/Blu ray movies and books. I currently have a no return policy but am considering changing that to have the Top Rated Seller Plus. I just worry that buyers will use me as a loaning library by watching/reading and then returning. Does anyone else out there sell similar items and have a return policy? Do you get a lot of return requests? Does it benefit me to offer returns? Thank you in advance.

Looking for advice on offering returns

Hi, good question and it comes up alot with the latest changes with return.   My phylosophy is that, honest buyers will be honest and scam buyers will be scammers.  Saying that, even though you do not offer returns, a buyer can open an INAD and ebay will side with them 99 out of 100 times.  With DVD/BR's, all a buyer would have to say is the move skips.  Regardless of you return policy, you will probably lose that case 100% of the time.

Saying that, I don't know what your return percent is now but I'd suggest offering 30 day free returnand see how it goes for a month or two.  Though I sell clothes, I've offered 60 day free returns for about 6 months now and my return percent hasn't really change, except maybe going down a little.

Just my 2 cents.  Bottom line, if a buyer wants to return one of your DVD's your policy will not stop them from opening a return case.  If you get scammed, make sure you notify eBay.  They keep track of scammers and will eventually block them.
