Large Package Shipping

Hello All!

I need to ship a large blanket and the package will be about 24" 20" x 18"

I want to ship the cheapes way possible; who should I use?  The prices I am running into so far are $90 and over!

Thank you, in advance, for your help!

Re: Large Package Shipping

If the $90., is due to dimensional weight, buy a vacuum packing bag and shrink it down to fit in a smaller box.

UPS will probably be the cheapest, with a free PirateShip account.

Re: Large Package Shipping

Thank you for your quick response; I am used to shipping much smaller packages!

Re: Large Package Shipping

If you can somehow stuff it in a 12x12x12 cubic foot box (and its under 20 lbs) then you can send it ground advantage cubic on pirate ship for very cheap (around $15)

Bummer. I'd squeeze that Comforter Set into a smaller box and stick with Ground Advantage. Good luck.

Re: Large Package Shipping

Create a PirateShip account and check the UPS Ground pricing. DON'T use USPS.

Or just check the eBay pricing for UPS Ground if you have already sold it and are ready to ship.

Re: Large Package Shipping

Even with your larger box, $90 sounds more like the retail rate rather than the discount rate.  Check out a free PirateShip account.  Also those vacuum bags shrink things like that almost in half.  Buy them cheap at Walmart, or maybe even the Dollar Store.

Re: Large Package Shipping

Knowing the shipping costs before creating a listing is so very important.
When offering free shipping, it is exponetially more important.

In this instance, luckily, a vacuum will save the day (and $$)
