Label and packing list printing / page size info in the documents

I'm trying to get set up so I can print labels and packing lists on half letter paper from one tray in my printer ( official size is called "Statement").

I'm using a Win 10 laptop, Chrome browser and the new bulk label printing page (which still requires packing lists to be printed individually) and an HP 8740 (with 2 paper trays)

The labels show up in the printer selections page as 2 a page. It lets me select "Statement" and would print on the right tray, but it doesn't split the labels to be printed one a page, which would work nicely. so it offers the option of printing the labels half size so they both fit on the statement size (no good) or printing them spread over two statement pages (oops).

If I select statement and try to print the packing slip, it shrinks the packing slip and prints, but vertically on the left side of a sheet of statement paper.

That is telling me there is some page layout info in the packing slip and label sheets (pdfs)

Am I missing something on the ebay side of the bulk printing setup?

I've played with printer options with up to 4 labels on a single 8-1/2 label page and also a few other experiments.  The label/packing list appears to be a single page and cannot be split.  The "shrinking" behavior is expected when printing on smaller paper.    You can get 8-1/2x11 paper that has a perforation 1/2 way down.  However, it isn't likely that you will be able to use the smaller paper as you desire.

Ayup. When you tell the printer that you're feeding it half-size stationery, it will attempt to shrink and/or reposition 8½"x11" pages to fit, and both the packing slip and shipping label are submitted as 8½"x11" documents (even though the bottom half of the page, or more, may be blank).

I use one plain 8½"x11" sheet per shipment. I print the packing slip, cut it off the sheet (leaving a piece that's around 8½"x7½" or so), pack the item, then put the remaining part of the original sheet back in the printer to print the shipping label. The printer (an HP Deskjet 5650) doesn't care about the shorter paper, as it's done printing the shipping label before it runs off the paper anyway, and simply spits it out as usual.
