USPS rates will be unaffected. As I mentioned above, buyer-facing GSP rates may go up, but that's not an added expense for the seller. Sellers that use GSP don't do it to offer buyers affordable rates. In most situations, the GSP is already expensive compared to services that ship direct, so this increase will make little to no difference.

JICYMI...

Do you ship through Pitney Bowes? Because that increase applies to items that Pitney Bowes ships. It does not affect USPS shipping.

Explain how this affects people using USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

What are you upset about @kus1617? Do you ship directly through Pitney or are you upset that GSP costs will go up exclusively on the buyer's side of things.

Yes, Pitney Bowes only provides the technology to PRINT the labels. BUT you are still SHIPPING through the post office, not through Pitney Bowes separate and independent SHIPPING service so the new PB rates do not apply.

Sort of like the old PB postage meters that every office had. PB printed the postage, based on USPS rates, and then USPS delivered the mail. But it still said PB as a built in advertisement.

...So since they provide the label printing services to eBay wouldn't that impact the cost to provide the labels to the end user???(Us)...and also the services provided for international shipping being hosted by eBay???...
