Howdy all!
Ok, I need advice...have read these type posts before, but don't recall the solution. My buyer has a P.O. Box for her address, so wasn't able to use FedEx which is my preference. Was forced to use USPS ground, which is HORRID, but I had no choice. And guess what? It's stuck "in transit" (no surprise!). It was shipped on the 11th, last scan was on the 13th, no activity in 9 days! I put in a request for text alerts from the USPS, but there wasn't any option on their website for hunting down an item, though I've heard of such a thing before.
So, I see Ebay would like me to refund her unless I have a delivery scan. But what happens when the item does actually arrive finally, how do I then get re-compensated for the sale??? Thanks for any assist!!

P.S....her request through Ebay wasn't for a refund, but for me to seek info from USPS to locate it, as she still wants the item. But Ebay says I should refund.

If that ^^^ were to happen, you can message your buyer that you see the item has delivered and that you'd like to send an invoice for the purchase (which has been refunded) through PayPal. That is allowed in this instance. Good luck.

Hi mtgraves....thank you for your reply! I'm not sure if she's paid with PayPal...come to think of it, I don't think with Managed Payments it shows their method of payment. (Sort of a whole other question, but if she used PayPal, would that show up on my PayPal account, even though the funds now do not go into my PP account??) I've never sent an invoice before and haven't a clue how! And why doesn't Ebay allow me an option to send one after delivery? Thanks for any help!

No... you won't see the transaction in your PayPal account, since you're in MP. To request money through PayPal, just hit the hot 'Request' button from your PayPal home screen. At the next screen, you'll need your buyer's email address to send your request... asking for this through messages (if necessary) is okay with eBay in this instance.
As to your other question... I have no idea why you can't send one through eBay. Maybe another poster will.

Because according to Ebay, the case is closed.
After a case is closed, they don't really care what happens.

Hello again!
I tried to file a claim with USPS, which my local window clerk said might inspire movement...but as it was ground, and did not have insurance, I can't file a claim. I signed up for the text alerts, hoping that might do something, but I doubt it!
In the past, with PayPal, you would see the buyers email on your Ebay invoice...but if they used Google pay or some of the other purchasing tools now offered through Managed Payments, I doubt we see their PP email. It's all very complicated...I don't want it to end up like how Kensgiftshop suggested, just a total loss! (as it was I had to shell out an extra $35 out of my own pocket to use USPS over FedEx....grrrr!....but as a learning curve, I've now removed the P.O. Box option off all my large items!)

Hiya Ken....yeah, I thought that might be the case...kind of a bummer we should have to lose out because of poor quality service from a shipper!! I won't be using USPS ground ever again if it can be avoided!!

So here is something new and interesting, you mentioned needing the buyers Email to request funds from PayPal, but now Ebay is not showing you anything other than their ebay messages email (on the sales record, where it says buyers email), where each buyer is given a distinct number with the ebay messages dot com on the end. I'm not sure if it's important for sellers to know which method their buyers used for payments, but I do think it is something we should be made aware of. But this is Managed Payments, so there you have it.

What is USPS ground? It sounds like you sent it 4th class, the slow boat, instead of Priority.
