Item return

Yesterday I noticed one of my items was not delivered due to “insufficient address” of the buyer. It now says the item is coming back to me.  The shipping label was Printed directly off of ebay. I called Usps and they started a package research case and said the mail carrier for some reason did not deliver it. My buyer has not attempted to contact me at all???

Should I message them and have them contact the post office or wait until they reach out to me? It seems odd as the item is pricey

I would wait until I get it back and then contact the buyer to check the address. You could either resend it at your own expense, ask the buyer for the additional $$$ to ship or if you have USPS documentation that the carrier just didn't want to deliver the item (which means to me they didn't feel like doing their job for some reason) go to your local post office and ask them to resend it on their dime...

I have only had a couple of these cases and in each I have immediately contacted the buyer and told them they needed to contact their post office immediately. Doing so, they were able to get their packages.
