Item not received USPS tracking not updating

Has anybody had an item not received on time and USPS tracking has it sitting in Limbo and not updating?

Item ordered 6/11/2024, shipped on 6/13/2024, tracking was updating until 6/18/2024. Now it has said "In transit to next facility, arriving late", never changes. How long do you wait in this situation? Am I to just count it as gone? Seems no one has any answers. What I get from seller and from USPS is "it says it is in transit" but my thing is that it has not updated as to it even moving from one place to the next.

Surely the seller knows that you can and will file an INR with eBay when you're able to.

If I were the seller, I'd be filing a package trace with USPS using the tracking number. Those seem to miraculously get stuck packages moving a lot of times. 

Have you asked your seller to submit the search/trace with USPS? If not, that's what I'd do.
