I purchased a replacement key fob shell that was supposed to fit the year, make and model of my car. Ebay removed the listing after the item was shipped from China. I received the item, but it doesn't match the fit for my car's key fob. I tried to initiate a return, but the item is not showing up in the list of items that are eligible for a return. Is there anything I can do? Luckily it was only $10, but I'd like to get that back if possible. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Assuming you are doing everything correctly, the only thing I can think of is that the window for initiating a return has past.

Other than that, from what you wrote, perhaps there is some problem with initiating this return through the resolution center. There is another (more modern) path ... if you go to your purchase history and locate the item, is there an option to return the item?

Do not try to use the Resolution Center to get resolution for a problem. If it's now past 60 days since you paid, eBay cannot reverse your payment anyway, and instead, you'll have to open then immediately escalate an Item Not Received dispute at PayPal, if that's where you paid.

Otherwise, if it's been less than 60 days since your payment, look at the bottom of the list in each of the tabs on your Purchase history page for your missing item, then start a return request, and wait until you can ask eBay to step in for your refund.

Thank you for the replies. It was only 1 day and I did go to the item in purchase history and clicked on the option to return the item. That opened a window where it asked me to select which item I wanted to return and the item was not listed there. I wound up calling Ebay last night and they gave me a refund and told me to keep the item.
