Item has yet to be shipped a day after expected handling time and seller is ignoring my messages.

So like the title says, I bought the item the 23rd and now it is the 26th. I did contact the seller about the shipping cost originally ($5 on a $0.99 item) but the seller explained the cost so I dropped the issue entirely and paid for the item as per the binding agreement when you make a bid. The 24th I was on a clinical rotation when the buyer asked if I would like a refund so I didn't get to answer back until the next day (the 25). I answered in the negative and said I paid for and will receive the item; stating my appreciation of the seller understanding my worries and apologizing for not answering back in a timely manner. It is now the 26th, I never got an answer back/confirmation that the seller would be shipping the item and I messaged them today asking when my item would be shipped and... nothing so far. I don't mind waiting for the item, but I don't appreciate being ignored when it comes to my concerns and I'm worried not responding immediately the 24th came off as insulting to the seller and now they aren't planning on sending me item and want to push me into filing a refund anyways so they don't have to deal with me (I know that was a run on sentence lols I just quickly wrote it out lol). Am I over thinking this or is this a genuine concern that I might have to deal with once the expected delivery date (the 4th of next month) has passed (if this is still an issue then).

Now, another thing. Not that I want to get you "over thinking", 🙂  but  ...........................

Are you seeing a "tracking #", or just that it has been marked as "shipped" ?

If a "tracking #", what you are likely seeing is the notification that eBay sends when a seller "purchases" a shipping label. (very few places where an item will "actually ship" (get a scan) on a Sunday)

You will need to check your "purchase history" for the actual "acceptance" scan, and other updated scans of that tracking.

Not all things on eBay ship with tracking. If the seller's "explanation of the $5 shipping cost" from your 1st post explained tracking then it will likely have it.

Not posting to cause panic. Whatever transpires will eventually work out in your favor per the eBay MBG that mtgraves was referencing to early in the thread if there are any issues. 

Be sure to factor in distance/weather/whatever for your arrival expectations. (and then give it 2-3 more days) The MBG covers you for 30 days beyond the "last estimated" delivery date.

You can always come back to this thread for more guidance if needed. Not being a fool. Being a fool is not asking, and having a problem.  All eBay "issues" should be this easy.

...and as stated in the post above mine - the item may not have actually been mailed yet, just the label created and tracking uploaded, PENDING shipping. The item is coming... Please let the seller get it to you. 

When I read the title of your post and saw the plural word " messages", and then read the intensity in the body of your post, I could imagine you message - bombing the poor seller into oblivion, and possibly putting yourself in their blocked buyer list.

If there is a delay, just wait until the EDD passes...👍
