Since the eBay customer service number ran me around in circles, just to practically tell me to go away and hang up in my face, I’ve decided to try and bring my issue here for some opinions.
On September, 25th, I stupidly placed an order with an account with no history on an obviously underpriced item. I’ll admit, that was my mistake. I’m learning. After a few days of the item being shipped, it arrived at a “unit,” and hasn’t moved since. Since the status of this order is still “in transit,” the seller is able to continuously postpone the case.
Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks!

you need to contact the Po and find out were the item is and what address it is going to.
On the USPS site it shows
Your item arrived at the Post Office at 3:50 am on September 29, 2020
as well as" In Transit Arrived at Post Office"

Adding the USPS is having problem with shipping and tracking updates. It is an ongoing problem that exists.

I'm a seller and can tell you this is happening, it gets held up at a postage hub and gets stuck. Just check the USPS site and it shows the tracking then the seller shipped it. I'd have the seller call and put a tracer on it, you also can go to USPS site and put in an inquiry or if you have an hour or 2, wait on hold. Best option is it the seller won't call is call your local post office and talk to the post master to see if they'll put a tracer on it. Its happening enough times now I have my post master on speed dial

It's not the buyer's responsibility to contact the post office. It's the seller's responsibility until the item shows as delivered and is in the hands of the buyer. I have had this happen a couple of times recently. I opened a claim, waited until 30 days past the last estimated date, then asked eBay to step in if the seller did not refund. End of story.

Click on the tracking number in your Purchase History to take you to the USPS website. There you can enter your email address to get updates sent to you when the status changes. That often will kick lose any package that might be hung up for any reason.

fully aware of this. Yet a buyer can also have the PO put a tracer on it if they desire. Shakes thing lose some times.

I’ve tried to contact the seller on multiple occasions, but to no avail. It’s almost as if the account doesn’t exist anymore. I can’t even access the original listing; it’s been “removed”. I should have thought to contact USPS, but I’m a (fairly new) seller on a couple other platforms and I haven’t had any trouble yet, so I guess I just assumed that this was something the seller set up.

Ebay put the case on hold for a few days to see if the item shows up.
There have been a lot of sellers lately having to refund, then the item gets delivered a couple days later, then they are out the item and money.
If it doesn't show up by the 19th, you should get your refund.

Ok. This is the second round of “waiting” I’ve done.

USPS misses scanning the packages all the time. Wait a little or contact them and as soon as its delivered it will clear. Its not a scam its just USPS are slow. The customer needs to understand that you have no control over how they deliver the package. All you are responsible is for shipping the item until it gets to your shipper. You have to explain that to the customer

Amazingly, this link here on how to contact that specific post office @braneum_31 happened on exactly the same day your package was last seen!

That’s crazy! I forgot to get with them yesterday, but for sure will be trying today! So when they forget to scan an item... it just..... sits there? Haha do they not notice the rogue package?

Reading the other reviews of this post office is not a good sign! I shouldn’t have automatically blamed the seller, that’s my bad. I feel as though they’ve come under new management, because at the beginning of this year and onward they have only received one star reviews! Crazy!
