The first screen shot is from my Purchase History page, with the tracking expanded.
The second is from the official UPS tracking page.
The Third is from my Ebay Order detail page....why the heck is it showing as delivered? SMH...

Hi @moo*cow*corner - thanks for letting us know about this.
We've seen a few instances of this in the last week. In these situations the issue is caused by the carrier scan coming through to us with an undefined exception code (tech's words ). I'm told this will update as more information comes through from the shipper.
I definitely agree that giving your seller some time to work to see what's happened with the shipment.
From an INR perspective our teammates would go by the tracking info available from the carrier themselves - not the pop-up in your Purchase history. This means that you definitely will still have recourse if you do not receive the item. Hopefully though, this is something the seller is able to quickly resolve for you!

It appears they all say roughly the same thing, just different formats.
If it were me, I'd file an INR as soon as you can. One day past the ETA on your purchase.
It does certainly appear there is something wrong with the package.

Hah, all contents missing and empty box was discarded... yet eBay order details page shows delivered, conflicting with the purchase history page. That's great.
Let us know if you have problems filing an INR... hopefully that won't be necessary though and the seller will be able to replace the item.
You should tag somebody from the community team so they can report this glitch.

And I don't agree that all screens say the same thing to me 3rd screen shot may cause a problem filing the INR as that part shows as delivered yesterday Jan24th.
Appears the other USPS shot shows that it was discarded , I have gotten empty or damaged packages delivered with the yellow sticker but this plainly states on the USPS site that they discarded it.
I would call CS for sure on this one.

It's a UPS shipment.
In all my years on ebay and internet shopping in general, I've never had this happen before. I've had USPS repackage contents and get them to me, but this is a first for UPS.
The seller did respond to my message. They apologized and asked for patience while they investigate. They will update me ASAP.
I am willing to wait for re-shipment, but will definitely keep an eye on the timelines. A refund would be somewhat annoying, but I would just reorder the same thing.
I'm concerned about filing an INR too, with the one page showing delivered.
It's an order of shipping supplies, and I have enough on hand to be patient for a minute. I don't want the seller penalized unless they drag this out an inordinate amount of time, or try to pull anything shady by using this glitch to say I got my stuff.
Tagging a blue sounds like a a good idea too. @Anonymous brian@ebay tyler@ebay Can you help with getting this reported? It would seem one the last things we need are even more upset and confused buyers.

but agree if you can give the seller a bit to try to get it figured out and work with you that’s great
but also agree it showing delivered is a reason for concern and if you weren’t a seller imagine how confused you would be as just a buyer

Looking further, unless you expand the shipping/tracking details on either the purchase history page or the order details page....it appears that nothing is amiss at all!
I find that more than a bit disconcerting.

Knowing that an INR will be properly handled is good news indeed. I hope it won't be necessary.
I do understand a bit of "tech speak" so your reason from the team actually makes some sense to me. Although any exception causing an improper "delivered" notice to display is not a good resolution, IMO.

Hide your Full tracking history, then compare with the Shipping Details screenshots in this thread.
It's not a software bug, nor techspeak: eBay has programmed all delivery failures as Status: Delivered.

Although it says FedEx, the seller actually used UPS. No biggie to me, as long as I get a tracking number from somebody.
I'm seeing more of that sort of thing lately too, even from other places on the net. Had another order from another place delivered recently that said UPS Sure Post, so I was expecting USPS to do the last leg delivery, which takes an extra day. Nope. It was dropped off a day earlier than expected, UPS all the way to my door.

I agree. Ebay HAS programmed all delivery failures to display as Status: Delivered.
Even the purchase history page shows no issues with a shipment unless you expand the tracking info.
It needs to be fixed. I'm also not holding my breath.

If you look at that UPS tracking, you'll see that it says UPS will be delivering your item now instead of the postal service.

tyler@ebay, the concern here is that the OP will likely not see any further delivery updates since UPS discarded the empty box, so the delivery status will not change. An undefined exception code should not translate to a delivered status. It should translate to a delivery exception status.
It's good to know that the OP is still covered should she need to open an INR!
