Item Damaged In Shipping Internationally

I shipped a PS4 Pro to Mexico and while at the post office asked if they had a bigger box to put it in.  It was in the original packaging with all the protective elements.  They told me they didn't have any bigger boxes and assured me it would be fine.  This is the first thing I have sold/shipped through eBay and now realize I probably shouldn't have taken them at their word.  The buyer sent me a message and said that the box and item were damaged and that it is now not in the condition that he believed he was buying it in.  What do I need to do as far as filing a claim with the post office etc. especially since it was an international shipment?

Assuming it was sent Priority Mail which automatically includes some insurance, contact your local post office. They can give the necessary steps to file an insurance claim. You will need proof of damage.

I had a case with a package going to Costa Rica. I had proof of the damage. It took a couple of months before I was paid but, importantly, I was paid.
