Issuing a refund without a return

Hi all... I would like to refund a buyer but don't want the item back.  I have searched high and low and am not sure how to do this... is it possible? It's just not worth my paying to get the defective item back.  Thanks!

If you have a return request opened on you, select the second option to Refund, no return needed. Or if eBay already issued a return label automatically, find the link to Refund the buyer now.

You could just sign in to Paypal and refund the amount paid. If you do it this way, you won't get your eBay 10% final value fee back though.

I did this.. thanks. However, it seems FYI that option is only available on the full version of eBay. I could not see it on the mobile version. I really appreciate your help, thanks!

I always recommend that when operating a business (selling) on eBay that one always does so from the site rather than from an app.  The app has been known to be somewhat glitch prone.
