Isn't a seller required to either send a return label or have eBay issue one for SNAD?

Son in Law purchased a bluetooth earpiece thingy which supposedly came with a charger. Came without. He messaged the seller who sent him an RMA number but NO return label. I guess the seller expects him to pay to ship it back.

I advised him to open a SNAD and request a label. Will the fact the seller already issued a RMA# stop eBay from requiring the sellerto issue a return label?

The RMA has nothing to do with the label. The return request needs to be opened by your son in law and a label will be issued when the return is approved.

No the RMA means nothing, the seller is just hoping you will return on your own dime.  Put in a return request, not as described and they have to supply you either via PDF file or eBay, a return label.

Thanks, that's what I told him (the seller is playing him) and he just filed the SNAD.
