Once again I have a package apparently stuck at the Jersey City NJ USPS hub. What is wrong with that facility? I have an item I sold and shipped by media stuck there for a week, this is the third time this year, always at that facility. Anyone else have their packages stuck in NJ?

As a seller, it is ebay's policy that it is your fault since you didn't drive behind the post office truck and ensure when it got to the facility that it wasn't sorted right.

I have two late shipment defects in the past 2 months, both are because of ebay's "It's always the sellers fault" policy. Both defects come because I live in a small town and drop my fedex shipments off at a dollar general. The lazy minimum wage employees that work there never feel like doing their job, so they don't scan the packages, and neither does the bum that drives for fedex that picks them up once a day, they only get scanned when they get to a shipping hub, a few days later. Ebay's policy on that is it's my fault because I didn't punch the dollar general worker in the face, steel their scanner, and scan my own packages.

Remember, if you sell anything on Ebay, it's always your fault.

Yes, Its been about 12 days since it was taken in there. Now, all I get is that the package is in transit but it never actually leaves that facility. I don't know if its lost. I don't know if its stolen. No way to run a business!

USPS Jersey City hub is the worst I have ever seen.

I recently purchased six collectable books off EBAY the end of August 2021 from different sellers and all were sent via USPS Media Mail. The two that fortunately did not pass through Jersey City arrived in 5 days.

2 arrived yesterday and took 27 days to arrive. The sellers asked me to please wait, which I did.

The last 2 books, which have the most value have not been seen. I will probably wait another week before I request a refund through EBAY.

I would consider USPS very reliable but the USPS Jersey City hub is pathetic at best and most likely

a reflection of the employees or management there.

Someone should clean house and start fresh since from what I have been reading, it is an ongoing issue.

I am very frustrated to be wasting so much energy and time with no results.

FedX or UPS is the answer

I've had 2 items lost at that facility over the past 4 months. Given various posts here and throughout the internet referencing lost packages at the" JERSEY CITY NJ NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER ", the odds are good that someone is steeling packages. It's hard to lose a 7' fishing rod!

I no longer offer USPS for items I sell and ask all seller I buy items from to ship via FEDEX/UPS even if it a few dollars more.

@bosko90 We had issues with that Bulk Center last year during Covid but it was mainly Media Mail shipments ...

You might be right about the fishing rod ... they are right on the Hudson River ... just sayin' ...

We had success processing "Missing Mail pieces" with USPS ...

Same here. One item "departed" Jersey City on 9/11/21 (after arriving there twice in the same day!) then nothing until a "in transit" message on the 15th. It should have arrived at my door the next day (9/12).

Then nothing more, as of 10/6/21. I have 4 more stuck there. Two say "in transit" 5 days after arriving there. The other two are just sitting there. Weird.

Yess! Mine arrived Oct 1st. Oct 5th it said arriving late in transit but it never even said it left the facility, so I don't believe it did. Nottt happy with this facility!!

Same thing for me dates and all. Might even be in the same bin/trailer as yours if it's going to New England. I filed the missing mail reports and went to my local post office where they said to wait until the 18th. I guess the hurricane caved the roof in. Why do they send mail here then if the building is condemned?

So your not alone. Hope we get our mail soon. It's past unreasonable at this point.

I have 2 packages stuck there right now. It is a black hole for packages. Every single time I order something and it goes there, I have to wait a month or longer. Something should be done. I am to the point that I avoid buying items from the east coast just so I don't have to deal with it. They can't blame the hurricane either because I have had packages from March of 2020 take a month or longer through that facility to arrive.
