For the second time, an eBay package being sent to me via UPS is assigned to go directly to my home address and only my home address; preventing my UPS account from automatically rerouting my packages to my local UPS Access Point-- which is my case is a UPS store. Packages going to directly to my Access Point is what I want.
Is anybody else having this issue? In its on line literature eBay touts UPS Access Points as a more secure way to ship, rather than having what I purchased sitting on my porch waiting for pirates to come pick it off. But it appears eBay is doing the opposite.
It also appears that UPS label creation directly on eBay is new. In discussions with one seller, she could not see any place on the ebay shipping interface where she could elect or decline this option preventing packages from being routed to UPS Access Points. Soooo this appears to be happening behind the scenes out of the shipper's control. Instead she cancelled the shipping order on the eBay website and went directly to the UPS Store on her end and was able to send the package successfully.
Am I the only one having this issue? And by the way, I've lost faith and given up on the Post Office when it comes to package security, so please don't suggest that.
