I have ordered small inexpensive items from China for years, Never anything that I needed quickly and I don't buy electronic items due to quality issues. This was the longest I've ever had to wait for my purchases to arrive. I ordered in mid October. What was strange was that two of them were post from Dubai United Arab Emirates and others were shipped from Kazakhstan. Has anyone else noticed this and why?

All i can say is: Well you bought from China. You can now kiss that money gone from now on.

I never order from China, but I made a mistake and ordered from China. The item was supposed to arrive around 11/12/20. The tracking hasn't updated since 10/28/20. Doesn't look like I'll ever see the package. Like you my item was cheap. Seller did refund. I'll be happy to repay if it ever arrives.

I've had to order two items from China, one a motherboard for a 10-year-old PC, and another was a real oddball cable. Both took two months to arrive, but they did get here. International using anything but courier services is still very slow.
No clue as to the Dubai and Kazakhstan connection unless the company ordered from has world-wide logistics, but it still does seem odd.

For over 2 years now, the distributors for the sellers in China have been wholly warehousing their stock outside of China, then shipping our items to us from those countries e.g. Thailand and Changi Airport in Singapore instead of directly from China, in order to sidestep the tariffs levied on China by our large orange pumpkin.
