eBay international shipments are being returned to me, no reason given. Why?

Could be that what you are selling is something that eBay chooses not to ship internationally through the eIS program.
Possibly something that they would not refund and liquidate.

Your listings specify first class international shipping but I am guessing you sent the items eBay international standard delivery (EISD)? When an ebay international shipping program suspects that there might be problems importing an item into other countries, they will not ship it there even if they do not know for sure.
IF your insects are legal to ship to other countries than you may be able to ship them using USPS but you should check first if they can be exported/imported without any special paperwork. Otherwise, you might want to limit to selling them to the US only.

EIS will reject items which are Not As Described when they inspect the item.
They also might reject your insects if they think that they will violate the destination countries import regulations.
Usually, they will block the purchase of items which they think will violate regulations, but perhaps your listings do something to slip through the automated checks.
Once they accept the items for processing you are protected from buyer claims.
