The buyer will need to turn the item and packaging over to USPS for inspection so ask them to hold onto it for a few weeks until they get the letter in the mail from USPS, @22*good*not*to*reuse*and*use. Unless the outer box shows some serious damage, USPS probably won't pay out. They started denying most damage claims early 2020.

Yea tell you truth I’ve been having a hard time receiving any money for my claims since last year. USPS ain’t what it used to be.
I’ve been chalking it up to a loss and just figure that it’s a cost of doing business.

This information might save you some time:
Items that are broken due to the package being dropped, or damage due to G-forces, is not covered by USPS insurance - this will be considered insufficient packaging. Typically, to have insurance paid out, the exterior box would need to have been crushed or punctured in some way.
You seem to be selling glass items. There's about a 99.99% chance that any insurance claim you make will be denied due to poor packaging ... such items should be double boxed with proper cushioning.
