Incorrect Tracking Information

First time this has happened.  I live in So. Calif.  I mailed a First Class package which was picked up by our mailman and scanned on Nov 17.  Problem is that the package goes to Elko, WA and the tracking information showed that it was picked up on the 17th, then processed thru the regional facility on the 18th and then delivered on NOV 8th in Chicago IL.  No further tracking is showing up.  Obviously something went wrong somewhere.  Can the tracking number have already been used.  Buyer is now asking for correct tracking information.  Any suggestions or just tell the buyer to sit tight for a few days?

Re: Incorrect Tracking Information

Is it "...NOV 8th in Chicago IL." or 18th?

Here is a form for lost and stolen packages. You need to wait till 24th to file and see what's going on www.usps.com/help/missing-mail.htm
