The past 10 things I've ordered on here have had very inaccurate tracking "updates". They have all said that the item was out for delivery at 8:30am then "delivered" at the same time or only a few mins later. The closest post office is not that close to me. I end up getting the items at 1 or 2pm. I don't care that the items are delivered later than 8am but has anyone else experienced very weird tracking updates like this?

Yes.

Sometimes delivery personnel scan all their packages with tracking when they load up at the PO.
It makes delivery easier for the.
But since marking packages as delivered includes the GPS location where it was scanned they are in deep do-do if you don't get the item AND an ensuing investigation occurs.

Self serving carrier action, inaccurate tracking information.

Out for deliver just means it's on the USPS truck that's it so if you fall at the end of the postal carriers route it could be 5 pm before you get your package.

The last 20 or 30 things I ordered from different online places and here did not have a delivery scan. But you have to remember all postal systems were maxed out this Christmas Season and used ALOT of temp. help

Do you mean those emails from ebay? I get those all the time. "your item such and such has been delivered". The messages usually come in the morning but my mail comes in the late afternoon. I know well enough to at least wait until the mail comes. Wonder how many buyers open an INR case right away after they get that email? First it's the shipped email then the delivered. I know ebay is trying to help their buyers but?????

This seems to be a local post office problem. Mine consistently shows correctly , not scanned "delivered" until actually delivered.
