In need of feedback on using ShipCover Insurance vs. USPS

I sell heavy fragile items, some are almost 70 pounds the USPS limit but most are from 30-45 pounds.  It takes me about 1 hour to pack the item to be sure it is not damaged or broken on the way.  I solely use USPS and have a few claims above $300.  It took me 3 months to get my money but finally an USPS person in DC agreed to pay.

I have not used ShipCover; does anyone have experience with similar items and/or claims with them?

You don't need insurance.

Why do you use USPS to ship your packages?

I do use USPS but there is an option to use USPS insurance or shipcover and what to see what other seller experience was with this company and claims.

You state: you don't have to insure packages??? I sell item worth $2000 to$3000 and you don't think I need to insure them? REally?
